Model YZ101A Horizontal Mount Purging & Pressurization Unit
This Unit protects electrical equipment enclosures not exceeding a volume of 2 cubic feet in Class I hazardous locations or a volume of 10 cubic feet in Class II hazardous locations. The Type Z configuration permits the use of equipment suitable for unclassified locations within enclosures located in Division 2 or Zone 2 hazardous locations. The Type Y configuration permits the use of equipment suitable for Division 2 or Zone 2 hazardous locations within enclosures located in Division 1 or Zone 1 hazardous locations.
This Horizontal Mount Model YZ101A may be mounted on the top or bottom side of a protected enclosure. It features an Explosion Proof Enclosure Pressure Switch that is Class I, Division 1, Group C & D & Class II, Group E, F & G or Class I, Division 1, Group A, B, C & D rated and provides a form “C” dry contact. The switch is required by NFPA 496 under certain circumstances to activate an audible or visual alarm device upon loss of safe pressure, as listed under the Alarm Beacons and Alarm Horns tabs above.
