These Alarm Switches feature Form C Switch Contacts that engage upon loss of protected enclosure pressure, in accordance with NFPA 496.

Model YZ101A Universal Mount Purging & Pressurization Unit
This Unit protects electrical equipment enclosures not exceeding a volume of 2 cubic feet in Class I hazardous locations or a volume of 10 cubic feet in Class II hazardous locations. The Type Z configuration permits the use of equipment suitable for unclassified locations within enclosures located in Division 2 or Zone 2 hazardous locations. The Type Y configuration permits the use of equipment suitable for Division 2 or Zone 2 hazardous locations within enclosures located in Division 1 or Zone 1 hazardous locations.
This Universal Mount Model YZ101A may be mounted on any side of a protected enclosure or panel mounted using the kit listed under the Installation Accessories tab above. It may be enhanced with one of four Model EPSK Explosion Proof Enclosure Pressure Switch Kits, as listed under the Alarm Switches tab above. The switch kits are Class I, Division 1, Group C & D & Class II, Group E, F & G or Class I, Division 1, Group A, B, C & D rated, may be selected with fittings and hardware to permit internal or external installation and provide a form “C” dry contact. The switch is required by NFPA 496 under certain circumstances to activate an audible or visual alarm device upon loss of safe pressure, as listed under the Alarm Beacons and Alarm Horns tabs above.
