Alarm Switch
Alarm Switch
These Alarm Switches feature Form C Switch Contacts that engage upon loss of protected enclosure pressure, in accordance with NFPA 496.
These switches may be mounted separately from the Universal Mount Unit above, and will activate alarm beacons or horns to provide a total solution to your local alarm needs.

Model YZ101B Universal Mount Purging & Pressurization Unit
This Unit protects electrical equipment enclosures not exceeding a volume of 50 cubic feet in Class II hazardous locations. The Type Z configuration permits the use of equipment suitable for unclassified locations within enclosures located in Division 2 or Zone 2 hazardous locations. The Type Y configuration permits the use of equipment suitable for Division 2 or Zone 2 hazardous locations within enclosures located in Division 1 or Zone 1 hazardous locations.
This Universal Mount Model YZ101B may be mounted on any side of a protected enclosure or panel mounted using the kit listed under the Installation Accessories tab above. It may be enhanced with a of Model EPSK Explosion Proof Enclosure Pressure Switch Kit that is Class II, Group E, F & G rated, as listed under the Alarm Switches tab above. The switch kits are offered in various ratings, may be selected with fittings and hardware to permit internal or external installation and provide a form “C” dry contact. The switch is required by NFPA 496 under certain circumstances to activate an audible or visual alarm device upon loss of safe pressure, as listed under the Alarm Beacons and Alarm Horns tabs above.
