NFPA 496 Purging & Pressurization Unit Types
Type Z Units protect ordinary location equipment within sealed enclosures that are located in Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C or D & Class II, Division 2, Group F or G Locations.
Type Y Units protect Division 2 rated equipment within sealed enclosures that are located in Class I, Division 1, Group A, B, C or D & Class II, Division 1, Group F or G Locations.
Type X Units protect ordinary location equipment within sealed enclosures that are located in Class I, Division 1, Group A, B, C or D & Class II, Division 1, Group E, F or G Locations.
